A great week for MUSIC

Image
I am *so* excited about two new albums that came out on Tuesday. . . One, I've been waiting months for, and the other, I'm shocked to admit, I didn't realize was coming up so quickly. Anyone who knows me pretty well knows my love for music - the lyrics, the melodies, ALL of it. . . I could go on and on, but I've decided to erase the wordy, gushing paragraph I just wrote and try to keep this short and sweet! The first album that I've been listening to almost non-stop is " Poseidon and the Bitter Bug " by the INDIGO GIRLS . It's *awesome*. My favorite songs so far (give me time to know for sure!) are "Fleet of Hope", "I'll change" and "Sugar Tongue". Really, really clever lyrics, great harmonies. . .mmmmm. . . I recommend getting the album. The coolest part is that it's a two-disc album, one with the big studio band, and one stripped down with just the girls & their guitars. . . very cool. . . The next album

After several years of begging to "dance on ice", Lillian is finally participating in this year's "Reflections On Ice" show at the St. Clair Shores Civic Arena . She has worked so hard and is excited to finally show her stuff! She has been cast in the school of Slytherin for the Harry Potter number. The shows are the weekend of April 3-5 and are as follows: 7:30pm - Friday April 3rd 1:00pm & 7:00pm - Saturday April 4th 2:00pm - Sunday April 5th Tickets are available from me for a discounted rate. Adults are $9 ($10 at the door) and children and seniors are $6 ($7 at the door). I only have until Saturday a.m. to sell my tickets, so let me know ASAP if you're interested in coming to watch Lillian. Otherwise, of course you can get tickets at the door. I've heard that the shows are always amazing, and I'm so excited to see all of the "Dancing on ice" . . . There are also Raffle tickets if you are interested for $1 each.

Off to STATES. . .

I wanted to upload a pic of Madison with the State Team and their tshirts from last night, but the camera is packed. We're leaving now for a fun filled weekend of Madison swimming at her first State Championships! Her Nana, Auntie Tristin and Emily are all coming to watch her, along with Milo, Lillian and I. AN**AMAZING** friend has offered to keep the little girls with her this weekend, and I'm thinking it's her ticket to heaven for sure! Anyway, wish our Madswim luck. . . pics coming soon.

February Fun. . .

I'll go backwards. . . Here's what's going on at our house the last couple of weeks. . . This is Roscoe tonight. . . he's been acting a little strange the last little while, but we've had all sorts of people in our house working on our basement, it's been super cold, so he hasn't been outside much, and we changed his food, so we didn't put too much thought into it. But, this afternoon, Madison and I noticed a really large growth beside his hind leg. He'd been sleeping on the couch all day, snuggling with Madison who's not feeling well. I set him up on his legs to get a closer look, and he couldn't really walk. As soon as Milo got home from church, he took him to the vet hospital. He needed a procedure, but is too swollen for what he needs, so he's on some meds until the inflammation goes down, poor pup. In the meantime, he needs to wear the cone so that he doesn't chew on the infected area. He's so sad. . . For the last cou
