Vivien's first day of Ballet! She's waited *so* long for her turn!! Miss Anne said that she took it so seriously, pulling in her belly and standing so tall. . . she's a little ballerina already!


Actually, if you ask her, she calls herself a "Joy School Ballerina!" Here is Vivien with her friend, Hallie at the first day of Preschool!

Here we all are (well, I'm behind the camera, of course) at the skating rink last Saturday. Lilly was disappointed at her first class last week that she had 'lost' so much after not skating for 6 months and she wanted to practice. When I mentioned taking her to open skate on Saturday, it turned into a family affair!

I saw my friend, Tia's blog tonight and just had to say *something*. I'd been biting my proverbial tongue the last couple of days. There really HAS been more violence lately, it seems. It's like there was a tidal wave that began a while ago, and it's just gaining momentum and leaving a mess in it's wake. This article, while it had me giggling with the comparison of the two mayors with the first & last paragraphs, leaves me quite cold. I do hope that someday we will see an amazing turn around. This city has such an amazing history, and has the potential to once again be a great place. . . I've been wanting to share this video of a commercial that's been playing here. It gives me chills. Bye Bye Miss American Pie. . .

Here's the update I've been dreading to write. . . we got official word today that we need to be out of the country in less than 3 weeks. Our heads are reeling what that means in terms of when we can come back, what to do with our house, cars, etc, in the meantime. We've been doing our best trying to plan for the future in spite of all of this. Vivien's ready for Kindergarten here, Madison's found an *amazing* middle school. We are planning. . . "If you build it, they will come." So, if we 'build' our future, will we see it happen that way? We sure hope so. I cannot express enough gratitude for all of the letters that were written on our behalf. Those have buoyed us up during this time, learning how we've touched the lives of people we really value, and who've touched us as well. A Call for Help.

The decision to become private will wait for a while. For now, we are hoping that many will see our family's blog and hopefully our fate can be changed. Through unforeseen circumstances, we are looking at a probable deportation within the next month. We are now trying to do all that we can to repair the dismal situation that we are facing. I've been quietly reminded all week that through God, anything is possible. Although it may be a long shot, I am hoping that with His help, one of you may know someone or something that can help us. We hope that the more people who know about our situation, it could fall into the laps of someone who has the power to do something. Please forward to anyone you would like to.
